Kamuzu Dam 1 Rehabilitation
This project entailed the raising, rehabilitation, and upgrade of the existing Kamuzu I Dam for the water supply of Lilongwe (Malawi). The main section was raised by 5 meters and the existing spillway now hosts a new pumping house and will be raised an additional 2m using a rubber dam. The reservoir storage was increased by five times from the original capacity from 5 Mm3 to 25 Mm3.
